The challenge.
ResInnov runs market-research operations for clients around the world, so its platform has to stay fast and available through unpredictable bursts of traffic. It was doing neither. Pages were slow, navigation was complex, and the experience fell apart on mobile.
Worse, the platform went down under load exactly when it was busiest. Every minute of downtime and every slow page was lost business and lost users.
Our approach.
We treated it as a platform rebuild followed by an ongoing operational engagement.
- Modernize the experience. A cleaner design and simpler navigation, responsive on every device.
- Rebuild for load. Re-architect the platform around auto-scaling and caching so it absorbs spikes instead of failing on them.
- Operate it. Ongoing maintenance and regular updates rather than a hand-off and goodbye.
- Keep it healthy. Routine security checks and performance optimization as part of the engagement.
Architecture.
The rebuild put the right primitive at each layer: a CDN at the edge, an auto-scaling application tier, a cache to take read pressure off the database, and pooled, proxied connections so the data tier stays stable under bursts.
Technology stack.
Platform & scale: auto-scaling, CloudFront, Redis, RDS Proxy.
Delivery & ops: CI/CD, configuration management, monitoring.
Outcomes.
- User engagement up 25%. Visitors spent more time on the platform after the rebuild.
- Bounce rate down 35%. Fewer people left before the platform finished loading.
- Steadier traffic. A consistent increase in traffic, without the old crashes under load.
- Less downtime. Auto-scaling and caching absorbed the spikes that used to take the platform down.
